„As long as things don’t become too contrived, or I become too conscious of design, all is well. The particular challenge of working with this particular synthesiser lies in first finding a sound that provokes initial musical exploration.
It’s at this point that I tried to capture things, without allowing ‚grand design‘ and procrastination to overtake impulsivity and spontaneity.
In this sense, once I’d captured something that was good enough, I would move on. Subsequent repetition and refining of initial ideas is a false and dangerous trail, for me, at least.“
(Matthew Bourne on his Memorymoog project)

Radionacht Klanghorizonte, Deutschlandfunk, April 16th,
1.05 till 6.00 a.m., live on „record store day“
P.S.: The record of the night will be „The Ship“, but only in a parallel universe.
The somehow strange point of Warp management has been, my broadcasting of „Fickle Sun (i)“, 13 days before its release, could cause damage for the support of the album in other parts of the world regarding contracts about first broadcasting etc.
Well, I have tiny doubts about this, but who am I to know for sure. So I don’t risk that. Let’s call it a day, a night – close to the end of it all I’ll play, for all the good reasons, „Chain of Fools“ – and in my „Moon in June“-show two months later, Brian Eno’s „ideas of surrender“ will be on the agenda. The ghost of Mireia Moreorless will be there, too:)
