P.S. Frustratingly monotonous? Interesting point of view. I think Bish Bosch is heartwrenching, terrific, beautiful, frightening, a move into unknown territory (soundwise), thought-provoking, a future classic. When it comes to great song cycles of the 21st century, Im thinkng of Scott’s two albums (2006, 2012), Sufjan Stevens‘ Illinoise, David Sylvian’s Manafon, Brian Eno’s Another Day on Earth, the new album of Swans, PJ Harvey’s Let England Shake, Robert Wyatt’s Cuckooland, and, at the moment, not much more comes to mind …
