For Lajla, the CRB is even better than a cuppa coffee. They travel through America, rocking the coasts and mountains, like all those archetypal bands with a knack for well-crafted melodies and high-flying guitar work. They inherit the freewheelin‘ sprit of the Allman Brothers in their early salad days, get rid though of any nostalgic overkill. Within the last years they have been extremely busy in the studio, too, refined their tried and trusted formula for blending all those sub-genres, sub-portals of country, blue grass, blues, folk vibes, and mandolin-fuelled Appalachan echoes with some psychedelic twists. The Brotherhood does it again. Their new record will be out next Friday and dealing, besides everything else, with different states of being barefoot in the head. A different kind of dance, a whole book of sidesteps. Their best album since „Big Moon Ritual“ (2012). One outstanding track is titled „Glow“, feat. Sarod player Alam Khan and, for sure, rattling at one of these tricky gates of perception. „There’s always this other place you can go“, says the leader of the pack, „Is that place it real? That’s your decision to make, what you’re going to let be real to you.“
