The man behind The Mountain Goats is a rising star in the literary fiction world, and with very good reason. His new novel, the deliciously titled Devil House, is the story of a once-successful true-crime writer who moves into a California house where a pair of murders took place during the “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s.
