As long as I like it, my new toy, it will be around. One idea is, apart from the radio hour, to write a short graphic short story on my lonesome island days with 12 pictures. Jo „Steely“ Siemer will receive an extra fee for the design, Eugene Thacker’s „Im Staub dieses Planeten“. Holy moly. Yesterday I listened to the early „red“ Kraftwerk album, and, yeah, with the support of Jan I found out, I do have an original Phillips pressing of the vinyl that made „Ruckzuck“ even more immersive. How I love those flute sounds from Florian, and knowing Conny is working behind the controls: exciting. And then I had the urgent need to go for one of my all time favourite Reggae albums, the one you can see on the photo, up front, the 40th anniversary edition with three vinyl albums and some fantastic remixes. It‘s an album the early punk heroes in Britain were obsessed with, and John Peel loved to play it, at least that‘s the aural image in my head. Now, have a look on the other items on the photo in mono comic mode: do you recognize one or another? Not so easy. Two albums, and one series, and one movie. No filler, all killers, guys. The person, maybe from the inner circle of us manas, or a curious reader of the blog, who recognizes two of these works, apart from Culture’s opus magnum, will get a cd copy deluxe edition of the next Brian Eno album. Might be released in late 2020.
