ESP-Disk has marked the 50th anniversary of Albert Ayler’s first recording sessions for the label with a 68 track digital-only compilation of interviews and music, tracing his career and looking in detail at various crucial sessions. It’s compiled by Michael D. Anderson, who also put together the Sun Ra Eternal Myth Revealed box set in 2011.
