He has always been experimenting with sounds. Produced by homespun invention were, for example, the pitch-shifted bubble sounds heard rippling across one of his pieces, which, for him, was an evocation of „the beauty, grace, and elegance of underwater sea life.“ To get his bubbles, he dumped – into the boiling water of an industrial-sized coffee pot set up in his bathroom – three pounds of dry ice … too much dry ice, it turned out. „As soon as I dropped the dry ice, instant, I couldn’t see anything,“ he remembered. „I was in this mystical world where everything was steam and I couldn’t see two inches in front of me. Whenever I touched anything, I’d get electrocuted. Somehow I managed to find the doorknob and escape the bathroom … It was such an intense concentration of mist in there.“ So, you think you know who he is? You are allowed only one guess, one name! The first right answer gets (you choose) a very special reward … P.S.: the right name can not be found among the three choices! Last possible guess: December, 6.
