The best music arrives without hype. For me there’s never been much point in reading the music press or following what’s considered hip. The best music finds its way to you: not the other way around.
And so it was with Greeen Linez. One click to a YouTube link earlier today, and I was transfixed by this tune. How to describe this stuff? Not an easy task. On first listen, yea, it’s 80s alright. On second listen it’s got a kind of Balearic (in the pure sense) meets JG Ballard vibe (slightly threatening).
